Wine

Hello everyone!

Drinking wine is one the most delicious things in the world!
As I usually say: "every bottle is an adventure".
For those who haven't realized or just don't know: wine is food!
When you are cooking or just waiting around for dinner to be served, wine stands as a great apetizer. As a matter of fact that is the best time for wine tasting. Exactly at that moment when we start to feel hungry our palates peak with sensibility and therefore we are able to capture all that the wine has to tell us.
So as we venture into one bottle or another, we decipher the great aromas and flavors that invade our mouth and become part of our lives forever.
Sometimes a wine is so powerful that it leaves an impression that just won't go away. Moments like these are the ones that entice us to always want to try more and more. As I said before and say again, "every bottle is an adventure"!
It does not matter if it is a famous and pricey wine or if it is a simple inexpensive bottle from some small local winery. We never know that the winemaker had been able to capture and fit into that glass vessel.
In life it is always fun, important and good to savor the great moments and eliminate the bad ones as fast as we are able to.
Here at our house we follow the same philosophy when it comes to wine. Every bottle we open we carefully taste and examine, if it does not suit us and shows to be not worthy of our time and enjoyment we pour it away immediately into the sink.
We are not here to drink bad wine!
On the other hand when it is a good bottle we praise it, talk about it, savor it, want to share it and we always put it on our list of "re-buys".
For something that has been around for centuries it is certainly a great honor to be able to enjoy it as our ancestors also did.
I am not here to compare wine to life, but there are some great similarities... the young ones may be great and really fun but don't really leave a lasting impression while the older and aged ones leave us with a sensation so great that we know our lives are just not the same after interacting with it.

I invite everyone to go out and try some wine anytime they feel like... with whomever they feel like... and just reminisce about how great it is to be able to live and taste wine...
